AN INNOVATIVE CULTURE WELL FROM US
Camelina is attracting increasing interest among scientists due to its exceptional nutritional properties. This Quebec vegetable protein is also gaining popularity among renowned consumers and chefs from here and elsewhere, who use the oil in the largest establishments and restaurants in Quebec, notably Chez Boulay and the Institut de tourisme et d hotel industry in Quebec. Oliméga is proud to be a pioneer in the production and processing of camelina and to be able to trace the history of this extraordinary plant!
“The demand was created quickly when the greatest chefs in Quebec discovered and incorporated our oil into their recipes. Avant-garde, they are looking for the latest gourmet discoveries and emerging nutritional phenomena. Some people asked us if they could get the raw seeds to cook them. This is where we came up with the idea of making them accessible to everyone! “Explains Chantal Van Winden, President and CEO of Oliméga.
